Living in a rural Victorian town, with his loving girlfriend, Mel Slatter, feisty mother, Maggie Johnson, and dedicated manager, the respected previous champion, L.T., by his side - it seems that the world is his for the taking. But soon we find the other, darker, side of this story - Zac's dysfunctional relationship with his father, Bill Johnson, his mother's terminal illness, his battle with motorcycling rival, Roger Whitside, his brother, Matt Johnson, also a motorcyclist until a tragic farm accident that ruined his athletic career forever, and not least of all, Zac's own fears that threaten to hold him back from all he can achieve.
